Dogma Guild Rules
Code of Conduct
• We will treat all players with respect.

• Loot rules will be adhered to in guild groups as well as with those outside of the guild:

Need - is used when an item is an upgrade for the character you are playing - not for an alt. This applies to BoE AND BoP items.

Greed - items that are not needed by your character or will be sold for profit

Pass - if you simply aren't interested in the item

(Note: It is encouraged to ask whether or not you may need an item before doing so - this simple courtesy can avoid much drama after the fact.)

• We will each play our class to the best of our ability.

• We will notify guild leaders or officers if a member has displayed inappropriate conduct (ninja looting, verbal harassment, griefing, etc.) in order to maintain a harmonious environment.

• We will not spam guild chat or any local or global chat channels. (If you are unclear what spam means, please ask an officer)

• We strive to enjoy all that Azeroth has to offer while helping one another in our personal endeavors.

• We will not be elitist in our treatment of others.

• We will be respectful of the roleplay enviroment of Steamwheedle Cartel

• We will foster a harmonious community environment with random acts of kindness.

• We will wear our guild colors (guild tabards) with pride and treat others with respect.

• Our guild consists of people from all walks of life. We will not tolerate malicious comments between guildmates. While guild chat is usually quite crass and off-color, please keep in mind that racial, religious, gender, or gay bashing is not allowed. Basically, have fun but don't go out of your way to offend each other... unless it's understood to be harmless fun.

• Controversal topics such as politics or religion should not be discussed in guild chat. Due to the broad spectrum of people within our guild family, it's safe to assume that we are vastly different and have different beliefs and opinions. To avoid any conflict, controversial topics are to be avoided.

• We will remember that each of us was once new to the World of Warcraft.

• We will remember that WoW is just a game and will not take it too seriously.

New Members
Most new members will go through a 2 week probationary period before becoming full members of the guild. There are, of course, exceptions to the rule and these are handled on a case by case basis.

New members are encouraged to interact and group with all members of the guild as often as possible.

Generally, if a new member is sponsored by a Dogma member, the 2 week trial is waived.

New members are encouraged to interact and group with all members of the guild as often as possible.

During the probationary period, looting will be on a NBG basis. Items "needed" apply only to your primary guilded character - and you may only need for the character you are playing at the time the item drops.

"Green" and "blue" items that are "needed" should be rolled on accordingly.

Generally, loot needs can be discussed within the group and often times situations occur where exceptions can be made to these rules and guidelines.

New members are subject to consideration by the officers. Factors considered are character name, interaction with the guild, etc.

Applications
All applications will be considered by the officers before sending a guild invite. We require all potential members/twink members to group/pre-made with Dogma members as often as possible before sending a guild invite. Once invited, each new member will have a 2 week trial to make sure the guild is a good fit and vice versa.

At the end of the two week trial period, Dogma members will take a vote to determine whether or not the trial member will become a permament member.

Please be sure to review the "About Dogma" and "Guild Rules" links in the navigation bar prior to submitting your application.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask any of the guild leadership.

Birthday Events/Group/Raids
Permanent Members who celebrate a birthday while guilded can choose a quest or instance of their choice for assistance and/or loot raids.

For example, if there is a quest you've been needing help with or an instance you've wanted to go to for that "special" drop, let us know so we can arrange a day and time to go. Our preferred raid/group nights are Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays (If I recall correctly), so try to schedule those nights if possible so that we may have most of our members available.

Absences
We understand that absences from game will occur from time to time and these are considered completely acceptable.
However, members are expected to keep the guild leadership informed of such absences whenever possible. If you are absent for over a month without informing the guild leadership, your characters will be removed from the guild. Once you return to the game, you are welcome to contact a guild officer to be considered for readmission.
